Julian is playing tonight at The Water Rats.   Inside Nick is chatting to a surly lad in his late twenties with a white afro, he is the keyboard player.   Julian is pretty impressive, he is confident on the stage.  The first and last song really work for me and he has the charisma to pull this off.

I drive out to The Water Rats to see The Displacements, a four piece out of Leicester.   This is right on the zeitgeist with harmonies and big slabs of guitar.   They are certainly a good band with plenty of decent tunes and a loyal following who have come down from the midlands to see them.
